Your tribute beautifully captures Lynch’s extraordinary ability to infuse creativity into life’s quiet moments. I love how you highlighted that “the same hands that create nightmares can also build tables”—a genuine reminder of the profound humanity within his art.
He was am artist that brought his craft to the masses. One of a kind. He made a mark. And his name will be etch in cinema. Thanks for the read. I need to watch some films of his.
Thank you Marya! His broader art/way of living always connected much more with me. I admire his films but they bring me a lot of discomfort, though that's just a personal feeling. He truly lived the art life till the end, indeed. He really really did.
did you ever get to see any of his art up close? I went to two exhibits in 2022 when I was visiting NYC and I am so grateful I was able to do that. His works had such unbelievable texture and movement. They felt like they were from another realm altogether.
I've not no 😔 that must have been an incredible feeling, so glad you got to experience this. Surreal how innovative/creative he was with the material world too
Wonderful, thanks for writing this
Thank YOU, Ed ❤️

This is an exceptional tribute, from someone who clearly adored the mind of the artist as much as the output. You did him proud.
Appreciate you, Alan ❤️ Thank you so much for your comment!
Beautiful tribute Sophie. I'm glad you mentioned all of his non-film art. He truly lived the art life.

I hope there is a retrospective of his art some day so you can experience it firsthand. You’ll love it.
Thank you so much. This was fascinating. Always the humanity in genius holds me still and causes me to pay attention.
