This list is gas. I love a hierarchy that lets the reader decide which is "better." Do we want an ending that requires fewer or more open tabs to understand?
Spoiler Alert: The Manchurian Candidate starring Angela Lansbury and Frank Sinatra.......Someone will be elected president of the USA with adoration and enthusiasm.....
I left off at #33. Had to take a break. Since last library DVD check out couple years ago I only watch movies shown free TV.
So reading the ending only is great.
I'm going to finish another day.
Great idea. They would probably be mad at you if you did this with new releases. Still.......the movie reviewer who always spoils the ending.......might be popular...
I wonder if you looked at the ending of the original The Manchurian Candidate.....starring Frank Sinatra and the Murder She Wrote star Angela Lansbury long before that TV show..... movie was about the assassination of a presidential candidate.....and when JFK was killed in Dallas (by not the CIA, anti Castro Cubans, the Mafia, the FBI ....)......so anyway.....I think they canceled the release and held it for years.....I think I saw it once somewhere in a theater? 25 more or less years ago.....so I think I remember the ending but would watch it again.....I need to pay my library fine and see if I can check out a DVD.
Spoiler Alert ....the movie ends with a person being cheered with adoration.. clearly on their way to being elected president of the United States of America.....
(There may have been a remake....I mean with Frank Sinatra and Angela Lansbury.)
If you have not looked at the ending of The Manchurian Candidate.....maybe you will now......

Wow. I just actually READ read this. There's not a single one left out, Sophie. Congratulations on your achievements thus far. What an amazing career in criticism we all aspire to so . . . cleverly synopsized here. It's amazing, actually.

Thank you so much! I hate words like best/worst when it comes to films so thought I'd get creative haha. Glad you enjoyed ❤️
"Some secrets are better left in Cambodian ruins, covered in mud and longing." Goddamn right.
